Complete a 50-hour online IV Therapy Fundamentals course, CE #20-1337271, followed by an 8-hour live Advanced IV Therapy Hands-On Training, CE #20-1403720. Together they provide 58 total educational hours while remaining two separate CE courses.
SCOPE OF PRACTICE & SAFETY
Learn IV Therapy within applicable professional scope, provider orders, facility policies, clinical competency requirements, and Florida law. Training includes aseptic technique, infection control, sharps safety, patient monitoring, and recognition of IV complications.
LIVE HANDS-ON IV PRACTICE
Practice venipuncture, peripheral vein selection, IV catheter insertion, equipment preparation, tubing priming, infusion setup, stabilization, flushing, and site care under instructor supervision using IV simulation arms and consenting adult volunteer models where appropriate.
CERTIFICATE & CE REPORTING
Completion is reported separately to CE Broker under CE #20-1337271 for the 50-hour online course and CE #20-1403720 for the 8-hour live course. Completing both components results in two separate CE Broker completion records.
